Does a German two-room flat mean two bedrooms? A 2-Zimmer-Wohnung usually means two rooms, and the room count alone cannot tell a family how many bedrooms the flat has.

The German federal housing guidance gives one bedroom and one living room as an example. The kitchen area and bathroom are in addition to those two rooms. For a family that needs two bedrooms, the listing label leaves that part of the layout unclear.
